Behind the Brand

Qishma, we are a group of minority women designers from India.Together with our brand partner, creative director  Tarannum Hasan and her 14 years of  experience in the fashion industry of Designing and Manufacturing for US and European brands, the Qishma story started with the desire to continue her rich experience by working together helping new and upcoming women designers.  

Qishma  is named after her daughter’s name. The meaning of name “Qishma” is primarily and perfectly in sync  with "Destiny, Fate, Fortune"  a person’s share of the good things in life with translated from Urdu – a language "Qismah" Tarannum's mission is to empower today’s women by creating effortless collections each season that celebrate beauty, confidence and strength.

TOGETHER QISHMA  SEEKS TO EMPOWER NOT ONLY THE WOMEN THAT WEAR THEIR PIECES, BUT ALSO THE WOMEN THAT CREATE THEM.

OUR DESIGN

The heart of Qishma lies in luxury exotic vacations and effortless style. vibrant, romantic, flowy, bold and edgy defines our design perspective.

OUR SUSTAINABLE FABRICS

We design our prints in-house, HandPainted or adapt them from Inspiration from Garden, Interior wallpaper and the escapism of a far-flung oasis. Flowy Chiffons, Georgette and organic cotton poplin are a hallmark of the brand.
